
Administrative Professional/Bookkeepers provide support to business executives, office departments or small and
medium sized businesses. An Administrative Professional coordinates office services and procedures such as the
supervision, maintenance and control of the flow of work and programs, personnel, budgeting and records. In addition
to the administrative skills they possess, they also work in accounting departments and bookkeeping departments.
Administrative Professionals work in a variety of business types and industries such as large corporations, small
and medium sized businesses, charities and government departments. Graduates have found employment working as Administrative
Professionals, Administrative Assistants, Office Assistants, and Bookkeeping Professionals.

The Administrative Professional/Bookkeeping courses at Robertson College are designed to provide you with real world skills.
Throughout the program you will be introduced to business communication, gain an understanding of administrative procedures
and basic bookkeeping skills. In addition, you will develop skills in client relations, business communication, sales and
marketing and essential computer skills.
At the end of your program, you will participate in a four week work practicum. The practicum will provide you an opportunity
to apply your newly acquired skills in a real world setting with the support of your instructor and our Career Services
department.
