The Academic Development Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, maintaining and supporting the Manager of Academic Development within the Department of Academic Development at Robertson College. This position requires both independent initiative and working with the Manager to administer programs and coordinating related projects. This position requires the ability to be highly self-directed and work in a multi-task environment that is demanding in terms of pace and deadlines.


  • Compiles data and prepares reports required by the Academic Development Manager.
  • Proofreading and editing of multiple source documents.
  • Create readable content from multiple sources.
  • Ensure compliance standards are met for each program.
  • Develop relationships with external publishers, faculty and Provincial campuses for curriculum standards and revisions.
  • Completes internal and external correspondence, legal documents, form letters and other documents.
  • Effectively schedules and coordinates multiple timelines for Manager of Academic Development; ensuring projects stay on time.
  • Maintains confidentiality and privacy for all projects.
  • Performs other administration duties as required by the Manager of Academic Development.


  • Post-secondary diploma in office administration.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an education/administrative setting; post-secondary experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exhibit a high level of professionalism and accuracy carrying out tasks.
  • Must possess strong organization, evaluation and problem solving skills.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Experience with proofreading documents.
  • Dedicated learner and committed to one’s own professional development.
