Robertson College Winnipeg is seeking a Facilities Assistant to work part-time, 2 hours per day, Monday to Friday (typically afternoons), until the end of January and possibly longer.

The Facilities Assistant contributes to the overall cleanliness of the campus, and aids the Facilities Coordinator and other staff in the performance of other building maintenance tasks.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Facilities Assistant is required to perform a range of duties including, but not limited to:

Cleaning

  • Ensure classrooms have cleaning supplies (paper towels, Lysol, Vinegar water)

  • Ensure washrooms had air fresheners except where they have been removed for sensitivity issues

  • Empty recycle bins in offices weekly

  • Clean refrigerators in staff room & student lounge on Fridays

  • Ensure hallways are tidy and exits are clear

  • Prepare cardboard for Friday pickup as per agreement with Recycle company

  • Clean whiteboards as requested

  • Outside cleanup when necessary

Moving & Deliveries

  • Check with registrar’s office regarding classroom setup needs every Friday

  • Help front desk set up for Orientations on Fridays

  • Help move furniture as requested

  • Deliveries to campuses, offices and classrooms as requested

  • Ensure SAA’s have sufficient water for clients weekly

Qualifications

  • Performs quality work and takes pride in a job well done

  • Previous cleaning and building maintenance experience an asset

  • Friendly, customer service oriented, sound judgment

  • Works well independently with little supervision required

  • Able to lift 50 lbs+

  • Dependable
