Robertson College is seeking a dynamic Marketing Specialist to join our marketing team. This role is for a 1-year term based in Winnipeg.

The Marketing Specialist will have a minimum of 2 years of marketing experience, have a passion for digital and traditional marketing and be eager to help take our marketing to the next level!  

In this role, you will be counted on for fresh ideas and to be excellent at multitasking as you will be supporting a wide range of activities including managing our social media channels, email marketing campaigns, online marketing, as well as developing content, copywriting, designing graphics and other administrative tasks as required.

Duties include:

  • Maintain and coordinate all website and landing pages updates as required

  • Manage the weekly email schedule, including scheduling emails, writing copy, designing basic graphics

  • Maintain email database and update internal CRM

  • Manage the monthly content calendar for our social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, Instagram and LinkedIn) and blog (Robertson Reader)

  • Administer our existing social media presence including responding to inquiries through social media, ensuring excellent and timely customer service that is consistent with Robertson standards. Escalate inquiries when required.

  • Writing and producing copy for web and print

  • Manage the production process and maintenance of marketing materials including Info Guides, Program Outlines

  • Maintain marketing materials inventory including ordering posters, letterhead, envelopes, business cards

  • Research industry trends and perform routine competitive research


  • Post-secondary education in business, communications or equivalent skills and work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a marketing capacity

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, attention to detail

  • Solid understanding of Adobe Photoshop, social media, Google Analytics & MS Office suite

  • Ability to think strategically and creatively

  • Proven ability to multitask and balance multiple deadlines while working in a fast-paced environment

  • Takes initiative and is able to effectively manage tasks and projects

Experience in monitoring/maintaining marketing automation platforms an asset.
