Robertson College is looking for a Massage Therapist to be a committed Outreach Supervisor to complement our qualified workforce of educators. You will be responsible for monitoring and assisting students working in an outside-of-school Outreach environment, according to the school’s policies. You will be responsible for supervising the students with their informed consent, their assessment skills, and hands-on skills. You will be required to be immediately available to a student who requests assistance and to patrol the outreach environment to offer suggestions and corrections. It will be fundamental to provide knowledge and instruction to students while also helping them develop their professional capabilities and skills.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about the job with an ability to reach out to students and create a relationship of mutual trust.

The goal is to help cultivate the students’ interest in and knowledge of the outreach-based component of Massage Therapy and be their dedicated ally in the entire process of learning and development.


  • Pick up and drop off massage tables, chairs, and supplies from the Robertson College Kensington Campus. (Must have a vehicle to transport tables)
  • Offer meaningful feedback and direction to facilitate learning
  • Distribute educational content (lesson plans, articles, etc.)
  • Contribute to the course curriculum when necessary
  • Assess and record students’ progress and provide assessment and feedback
  • Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences etc.
  • Assess the functionality of the Outreach program, and report any concerns, feedback or suggestions to the Massage Therapy Program Coordinator


  • A minimum of 3 years of work-related experience in the field of massage therapy and have been massage therapy practitioner in good standing for a minimum of 3 years
  • A degree, diploma, certificate or professional designation
  • Ability to assess students fairly and objectively
  • Willingness to follow the Robertson College’s policies and procedures
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Academic faculty demonstrates an understanding of adult learning principles and teaching techniques
  • Be well-organized and committed
  • Assist in helping students develop knowledge, critical thinking skills, and values which enable them to perform the required Performance Indicators for success in the field of Massage Therapy
  • Employ teaching methods and materials which promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the massage therapy field and the relationship between the course(s) to be taught and the education program’s objectives
  • Use a variety of resources, tools, and teaching methods, as appropriate to the course content and the learning needs of their students, and promote active participation by all students.
  • Teach and model professional industry standards of practice, codes of conduct, and boundaries including standard hygiene and draping practices.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development in technical knowledge and instructional skills.
  • Supervise students and be present and available for immediate consultation at all times when students are performing massage.
  • Have a vehicle capable of transporting massage tables and supplies to Outreach sites.
  • The successful candidate must provide a copy of their credentials, registration, and memberships initially upon hire, and as requested on an ongoing basis.
