Robertson College is seeking a Network Administrator / Help Desk Support member to join our IT team.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Responding and maintaining computer networks and keeping them up to date
  • Maintaining network user accounts and wireless networks, desktops, and servers
  • Replacing hardware on laptops or desktop computers
  • Installing and configuring hardware and software in an MS networked environment
  • Troubleshooting computer issues for both hardware and software on laptops, desktops, and servers
  • Briefing students on how to connect to the wireless network
  • Setting up and running audio video equipment
  • Maintaining a computer based inventory system
  • Installing and terminating data cabling
  • Maintaining and administering a telephone system


Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • College Diploma in Computer Technology or any related degree or diploma
  • 1-3 years’ experience with installing and configuring hardware and software in an MS networked environment
  • Windows 10 transition experience an asset
  • Experience with VPNs VLANs, firewalls, storage, and back-up
  • A+ certified (hardware installations and repair) an asset
  • Familiarity with PC imaging software, Active Directory and Windows server OS
