As a member of the Robertson College, Online Campus, Student Services team you provide guidance and direction to students based on policy and procedures. You are responsible for providing students with day-to-day communication and direction to ensure students are successful while maintaining compliance requirements. You will assist in managing the new student orientation process, course material distribution, and ongoing communication with active students in the Robertson Online Campus. You will be responsible for managing the progress and communication of students assigned to you. This role reports to the Manager Student Services and answers student questions and assists in compliance and reporting projects. 

You will assist in project implementation for the Student Services area as assigned, including development and implementation of controls to ensure the compliance of academic activities. You will work closely with academic and administrative units on campus to ensure appropriate student services are maintained.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all day to day direction of “Enrolled” students. Acts as primary point of contact and liaison with student and academic units on a range of educational and administrative issues related to students
  • Responds to student inquiries via the Student Services toll-free line, the Student Services inbox and Bold Chat feature
  • Ensures all activities are recorded in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Verify the accuracy of data entry and course content in manual/automated scheduling and/or registration systems via the CRM application and our Learning Management System (LMS), Brightspace by D2L
  • Ensures accuracy of the class lists for each intake
  • Ensures all students are contacted and complete orientation
  • Responsible for distributing course materials including physical text books
  • Responsible for informing manager when students are non-compliant regarding attendance
  • Works directly and collaboratively with academic units in the development and modification of course and section scheduling resources and accommodations
  • Responsible for following workflow patterns and operating standards to accommodate student requirements and requests
  • Assists in administrative activities to ensure efficiency in meeting the needs of the Online campus and Robertson College
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Job Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience preferably in an education setting
  • High school diploma or GED; at least 7 years of experience that can be demonstrated to be applicable to the duties listed in the job description

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Knowledge of educational requirements and course planning
  • Excellent customer service skills and team engagement
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office suite, intermediate experience with databases. High comfort level in learning new software
  • Knowledge of publishing processes, procedures, and techniques
  • Knowledge of computerized student information systems

Professional Characteristics

Position requires: a) providing leadership in handling complex student procedures; b) developing and creating student reports; c) act as subject matter expert on all student compliance related issues; d) troubleshooting system problems for students and faculty e) managing and updating the student info in SASY.
