Robertson’s Health Unit Clerk program in Calgary will prepare you to be a leader in any hospital ward. What is a Health Unit Clerk?
Hospitals depend on trained Health Unit Clerks to help manage the day to day operations of their various wards. As a Health Unit Clerk, you are responsible for a variety of areas. When a patient is admitted or discharged, you process the necessary forms. When a test needs to be performed, you schedule it. In addition, Health Unit Clerks are typically in charge of several behind the scene tasks such as keeping the drug supply stocked, managing equipment, and relaying information between patients and staff.
Our Health Unit Clerk program will teach you how to:
Effectively relay information between patients and staff
Properly maintain hospital equipment
Manage day-to-day operations for hospital wards smoothly
