Network Professional

Course Outline

Network Professional students can take either the NA or NE track.  The NA track helps the student to prepare to challenge the Microsoft MCSA exams, and the NE track helps the student to prepare to challenge the Microsoft MCSE exams.  In addition to this, Robertson College will cover the cost of each exam that is challenged!* Ask our Career Counsellors for more information on this exciting program.

The Network Administrator (MCSA) program prepares students to manage and maintain a corporate network and to provide client support.

The Network Engineering (MCSE) programs builds on the MCSA certification by providing students with the skill levels needed to design and develop a network structure from the ground up.

CompTIA+ Certification (Exams 220-602 and CompTIA A+ Essentials)
Industry accepted certification that covers a broad range of hardware and software technologies, with a preview of Microsoft operating systems.

Implementing and Supporting Windows XP Professional (MS Exam 70-270)
How to implement Windows Professional in a corporate or home environment.  Implementation techniques and desktop support are major areas of study.

Managing and Maintaining a Windows 2003 Server Environment (MS Exam 70-290)
Students learn how install, configure, manage, and support a Windows 2003 based-network.

Implementing and Maintaining a Windows 2003 Network Infrastructure (MS Exam 70-291)
Introduces basic concepts and services required for a Windows 2003 Network Infrastructure.  Topics include TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Routing and Remote Access and Network Security.

Implementing and Managing Exchange Server 2003 (MS-Exam 70-284)
Gain the knowledge and skills needed to update and support a reliable, secure messaging infrastructure used for creating, storing, and sharing information with Exchange Server 2003.

Planning and Maintaining a Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure (MS-Exam: 70-293)
Basic planning and security concepts are covered.  Topics include planning a TCP/IP network, connectivity options, name resolution strategies and network security.

Planning, Implementing, and Maintaining a Windows Server 2003 Active Directory Infrastructure (MS-Exam: 70-294)
Students gain the knowledge and skills to successfully plan, implement, and troubleshoot a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Active Directory service infrastructure

Designing a Windows 2003 Active Directory and Network Infrastructure (MS-Exam: 70-297)
This course provides the knowledge and skills needed to design an Active Directory and network infrastructure for a Windows Server 2003 environment

Cisco Certified Network Associate (Cisco Exam – 640-802)
Cisco’s entry exam required by all of their certification paths.
