If you are unemployed, underemployed, low skilled or lower income within the guidelines, you may be
eligible for Employment Manitoba funding. Contact 945.0575 (in Winnipeg) or toll free 1.866.332.5077 to find
the Employment Manitoba Centre near you. One-to-one counselling is provided to help you assess your
need for training and to develop an employment plan. You are generally expected to contribute to the cost
of training.
It’s not a bad idea to consult your bank or credit union about school tuition financing. You can use savings or may qualify for a student line of credit. If you have RRSP’s, you can use money from the RRSP’s to pay tuition. Your bank or credit union would have the criteria for this option.
We encourage students to approach their employer (if in same line of work) about scholarship or possible monies available if taking upgrades to improve their skills
in a current position.
If you are of Aboriginal descent, you could qualify for funding from many Aboriginal organizations. Contact your Robertson College Financial Aid Office for more information.
