Robertson College's Accounting Specialist 39-week program in Winnipeg is designed to give you a basic understanding of office procedures, bookkeeping, Sage and Quickbooks computerized accounting, corporate and financial accounting, and payroll administration.

  • Be introduced to the basic concepts of corporate accounting including analyzing corporate financial statements, accounting for property, plant and equipment and current liabilities
  • Gain an understanding of financial accounting principles, practices and their underlying theories according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Learn manual bookkeeping fundamentals for small business including how to prepare journals, postings, ledgers, trial balance and basic payroll
  • Learn payroll-related legislation and payroll fundamentals which meets the academic requirements of the Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification with The Canadian Payroll Association
