Robertson College is proud to announce its official partnership with Calgary Wild FC, supporting the launch of professional women’s soccer in Alberta while reinforcing Robertson’s commitment to education, career development, and the advancement of women in sport and business.
With the majority of Robertson’s student population being women, this partnership reflects a shared vision of empowering women in Calgary to pursue their passions—on the field, in the classroom, and in their careers. As part of this agreement, Robertson College will be featured across Calgary Wild’s coaches and trainer’s practice and match kits, an in-stadium activation, and social media campaigns, while also providing mentorship and career development opportunities for students looking to enter sports-related industries.
“The Calgary Wild FC are embarking on a mission that will challenge the status quo and bring greater visibility to women’s soccer. This is a movement that encourages inclusivity, empowers young girls, and gives women the platform they deserve. This will be accomplished with community connection and support throughout Alberta,” said Lara Murphy, chief executive officer, Calgary Wild FC. “This unique partnership with Robertson College is another positive step towards achieving our goals. It is positive work like the College’s commitment to education and drive to advance women in sport that will play a key role in helping to make our communities better.”
Robertson College’s presence will extend beyond branding, with future initiatives focused on community engagement initiatives, student-led career discussions, and sponsorship of the “Wild FC Goals Feature” on social media. This initiative will celebrate key moments from the Wild’s season while reinforcing the importance of teamwork, leadership, and education in professional and personal growth.
