The Admissions Advisor is the preliminary contact and presents the first impression to a prospective student demonstrating a professional approach through prompt contact, knowledgeable responses and respectful interactions.  The Admission Advisor is a driven professional with 5 years of sales experience, friendly, energetic, possesses a positive outlook, strong interpersonal skills, a pleasant telephone voice, and an ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Outbound calling efforts to individuals who have indicated an interest in the College is a key component of this role as making a telephone connection with a prospective student often takes multiple attempts.  The Student Admissions Advisor will:

  • Recruit qualified candidates for the college's academic programs in a compliant, appropriate and professional manner
  • Provide program information, routine guidance and assistance to potential students on matters related to enrollment and the admissions process
  • Observe and adhere to all Company polices and best practices
  • Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate course of action
  • Make quality, outbound follow-up, and confirmation calls to prospective students.
  • Participate in campaign strategies as proposed by management


  • Minimum of 5 years experience working in sales
  • Experience in, admissions recruiting, education or customer service / contact centre outbound an asset 
  • Post-secondary education is an asset
  • Experience working with internet-based communication tools
  • Strong telephone skills; prior experience with high volume calls is an asset
  • Will use Company approved scripts and approaches during telephone calls, and will be responsible to enter information in a CRM
  • Will observe and adhere to all Company polices and best practices and comply with related governmental regulations
