Refund Policy

Applies to all Robertson College programs

Updated: May 14, 2026

Go Back

This policy governs refunds and withdrawals for all Robertson College certificate and diploma programs. It applies to all delivery formats: in-person, hybrid, and fully online.

The withdrawal date used to calculate any applicable refund is the date Robertson College receives the completed Withdrawal Request Form, not the date you last attended class.

Refund schedule

Refunds are calculated based on how far you are into the program at the time of your official withdrawal. The schedule below applies to all programs unless otherwise specified in your enrolment agreement.

Withdrawal timing Tuition refund Registration fee refund
Before program start date 100% of tuition paid 100% refunded
Within the first 10% of program 75% of total tuition Non-refundable
Between 10% and 25% of program 50% of total tuition Non-refundable
Between 25% and 50% of program 25% of total tuition Non-refundable
After 50% of program completed No refund Non-refundable

Example calculation

A 31-week Health Care Aide program starts on March 2. The student submits a Withdrawal Request Form on April 6–5 weeks, or roughly 16% of the program, into the term. This falls within the “10% to 25% of program” band, so the student receives a 50% tuition refund. The registration fee is non-refundable at this point.

Program percentage is calculated from start date

The percentage is calculated from your official program start date to the date Robertson receives your Withdrawal Request Form, divided by total program length in weeks. Absences do not affect the calculation.

Refund bands mapped against program length.

Exceptions and special circumstances

Robertson College may grant exceptions to the standard refund schedule in cases of documented medical emergency, bereavement, or other serious personal circumstances. Exceptions are not automatic and must be requested in writing with supporting documentation.

  • Medical withdrawal: requires physician documentation; full or partial refund considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Bereavement: requires documentation; processing time is 5–10 business days.
  • Program cancellation by Robertson College: full refund of all fees paid.

“I needed to keep working. Online at Robertson let me do both — and my employer didn’t question the credential for a second.”

Amanda T., Medical Office Admin graduate
