A Letter to Robertson

Read Bor’s experience at Robertson and how the Network Security Technician program transformed his life and career, despite many challenges along the way.

My memories have been the parts and collections of my life, as an individual at the college. I remember the good days which have gone by and the bad ones as well.

One of the good memories in life is undeniably Robertson College.

In fact, it is reflected in the best phase of my life. I considered the importance of college life and it provided one of the best periods of my life. And why should it not? It is the first truly crucial thing in my life and its importance can never be refuted.

My college life was a learning experience in responsibility. The confidence and motivation it gave me – I couldn’t guarantee to get it without Robertson. Most importantly, it is the place where I recognized my uniqueness in collective and individual study.

My school life is more than a treasure for me – it gave me valuable hope in life. It is where I started learning the hardware, software, computer troubleshooting and network security skills so I can now solve computer virus infections by installing anti-virus software.

The warm welcome I received when I first started college is something I will never forget. It also defines why Robertson’s college life is so important to me.

My college life helped me learn about the things which were first mysterious to me. For instance, I update, set up VPN and install software and hardware that was always at the back of my mind. It helped me gain knowledge of and excel in PowerPoint in my studies. It is through my college life that I realized I have the talent of being a Network Security Technician.

The things I have learned over the course of my college life will always stay with me forever.

In fact, if I had not been in my college, I would have missed out on a lot of things. The knowledge, experience, and memories – I owe them all to my incredible Robertson College.

Indeed, it has been an unforgettable journey that will remain in my heart forever. Robertson College was filled with lots of excitement and love. It made me understand the value of time and became a wonderful milestone in my life. That is the period where I found myself and learned a great deal about myself.

My college helped me learn dedication and fulfillment of my study. My teachers motivated me and pushed me to achieve my best which is a big part of what I am today and tomorrow.

Most importantly, I found friends here. Friends who will remain in my heart for my entire lifetime. One of the greatest blessings of my college lifestyle has indeed been my friends. They were the ones who made this journey unforgettable and easy, but my college advisor and instructors are the stars of my future. They encouraged me when I failed my first year and elevated me when I was not giving up my studies. Moreover, they gave me the strength and the courage to re-enrol in college.

My most memorable moments have been the ones spent with my colleagues. Other than that, I will remember the times I spent at the college before COVID-19 and each day was magical. As we all know, the first and last days are the most memorable days.

I recently read an email sent from the college that congratulated me on my successful year. I was weeping even at work. I had the same tears in my eyes and had to rush to the washroom to wash my face. I succeeded in pursuing my dream.

The joys my college has given me are surely countless and will remain to be the best days of my life forever.
