Industry Partner Spotlight – Turning Leaf

Turning Leaf, a not-for-profit organization based in Winnipeg, is one of Robertson’s key industry partners that facilitates learners’ practicum placements. The organization provides crisis intervention, treatment and support to vulnerable people in Winnipeg and Saskatchewan.

Andrea Whittle, HR Coordinator has had the pleasure of meeting many learners who have worked their practicums at Turning Leaf. She says it’s always a flawless process and they’ve received great feedback.

“They [learners] felt like the education they got really lined up with what they were doing on the field and supporting our participants.”

Andrea says it’s awesome for learners to get to work hands-on and implement the knowledge they’ve gained in the classroom.

“[Learners] are actually able to get a task and be able to rock it out and feel confident in what they’re doing.”

Turning Leaf is one of many industry partners Robertson works with to foster meaningful connections and employment opportunities for learners.
