Administrative Office Procedures - 20 hours
Introduces students to common office procedures, such as human relations; organization structure and office layout; office technology; front-line reception; aspects of business communication specific to the office professional and record keeping.
Business Communications - 60 hours
Focuses on teaching the essential skills for basic business writing and professional interaction. This course also emphasizes the role technology plays in the workplace to enhance communication.
Career Preparation - 40 hours
Introduces students to strategies for a successful job searching, interviewing and career management.
Customer Service - 20 hours
Provides a foundation for customer service, and focuses on building lifelong customer relationships through the development of positive customer care approaches.
Introduction to Business - 40 hours
Introduces students to a broad overview of the world of business. Students consider how various external factors such as government and social trends affect business. Students consider the role of economics, information technology, management, organization styles, global trends, finance, human resources and production play in Canadian business.
Introduction to Human Resources - 20 hours
Provides a general overview of the human resource functions that assist an organization deliver value through proper management of the employee life cycle.
MS Office Applications - 80 hours
Prepares students to perform functions common to all Microsoft Windows applications. Elements include the ability to create and manipulate Word, Excel, or PowerPoint applications, modify the display of toolbars and other on-screen elements, use online help, and perform file management, editing, formatting and printing functions common to most Windows applications.
Keyboarding - 20 hours
Improves touch typing skills on a keyboard with a focus on improving speed and accuracy. This course increases job efficiency and understanding of work station ergonomics.
Consumer Behaviour - 40 hours
Introduces students to consumer behaviour within a marketing context and explores how factors influence buying decisions, trends and how techniques impact consumer behaviour.
Content Marketing - 40 hours
Develops a deep understanding of content marketing with an emphasis on the importance of content marketing to businesses, how to test and optimize content and how to take advantage of current content marketing trends.
Digital Analytics - 60 hours
Introduces students to the tools necessary to provide businesses with effective analytics reports.
Digital Marketing Fundamentals - 60 hours
Introduces students to the digital marketing strategies that will deliver immediate value to an organization.
Entrepreneurship - 40 hours
Provides an overview of entrepreneurial concepts and strategies. Topics include opportunity selection, competitive analysis, location selection, distribution, marketing promotions, financial considerations, legal and risk management issues, and business purchase or franchising opportunities.
Introduction to Web Design - 40 hours
Explores the principles of project planning and website design and the implementation of search engine optimization strategies.
Mobile Marketing - 40 hours
Introduces students to mobile marketing with an emphasis on understanding the importance of mobile marketing to businesses, the history and future of mobile marketing and how to take advantage of current mobile marketing trends.
Online Crisis Management - 40 hours
Explores the fundamentals of monitoring online review and social media sites for reputation and risk management as it pertains to business online.

Introduces students to the marketing system and the marketing decision-making process revolving around the marketing mix (product, price, place and promotion)
Search Engine Marketing - 40 hours
Explores search engine marketing with an emphasis on the business value of search marketing and learning how to create a search marketing program.

The practicum is an essential part of a student’s program. It is not merely a graduation requirement; it is an extension of the in-class learning. The practicum asks you to apply the skills, theories, and concepts that you learned in your classes in an entry-level work experience situation.
Practicum must begin and end within the dates outlined in your program schedule and enrolment contract. Practicum is a full-time, unpaid commitment and is presently available in 2 formats:
- A self-procured practicum
- A practical project
