What online learning at Robertson actually means
“Online” means something different at Robertson than at most schools. You’re not in the course alone with no one to ask questions. You’re invited to attend live sessions — scheduled classes with an instructor and classmates — in a format that lets you do it from anywhere.
Every online program at Robertson runs with live instruction, personal academic support, and the same Workforce access as on-campus students. The credential you earn is identical whether you attend online or in person. Employers who hire Robertson graduates don’t see a difference — because there isn’t one.

Instructors run live virtual classes so you can ask questions in real time. Every session is recorded for review or for anyone who can't attend live.
Support that reaches online students
Academic advisors, Workforce, and student support are available to online students with the same access as on campus, and most of it is delivered virtually.
A credential employers recognize
Robertson online diplomas are identical to on-campus: same content, same practicum, same credential. Employers do not distinguish between delivery formats.

Which programs are available fully online?
Robertson offers programs across Business and Technology and Community Services online. Check the program listing above for the full current list, or contact admissions for guidance.
How does online learning work at Robertson?
Online programs run through Brightspace (D2L), where you attend live virtual classes, watch recorded lectures, submit assignments, and track your progress from any device with an internet connection. Some programs require a Windows laptop to run required software such as QuickBooks, Sage or dental practice software. Most programs run 20 to 25 hours per week, combining scheduled live sessions with self-paced coursework you can fit around work or family. You're assigned a dedicated instructor you can reach through Brightspace messaging, and you study from anywhere in Canada.
Is an online diploma the same credential as on-campus?
Yes. Online students earn the same industry-recognized diploma as on-campus students, with the same curriculum, the same practicum requirement, and the same standards. Robertson is licensed under Manitoba and Alberta private vocational training regulations, and the diploma carries the same recognition with employers regardless of how you studied.
