Workplace Diversity & Inclusion Strategy
Recognizing that organizational policies can contribute to systemic barriers, inequity, and exclusion — we are committed to reviewing and reinventing our policies to advance and support a diverse, inclusive, and equitable learning environment and workplace.
Team members are also encouraged to take up to two additional paid days off to celebrate cultural, spiritual, or religious holidays as part of the #CelebrateEverything initiative.
#CelebrateEverything Initiative
The aim of the #CelebrateEverything initiative is to bring focus to the fact that not all holidays are celebrated or experienced by everyone in the same way and by directing our focus to these holidays only, it intentionally isolates individuals in workplaces, education, and society.
Students may choose not to attend class or write exams or tests on holy days of their religion. Our instructors will make arrangements for the student to make up any work missed without penalty to the student.
DEI Conversation Series
We regularly hold a live DEI Conversation Series that feature organizations, community groups and individuals working towards furthering diversity, equity and inclusion in our society.
Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion
We are proud to be an Employer Partner in the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion, a national initiative designed to help organizations effectively address the full picture of diversity, equity and inclusion within the workplace.
CCDI’s focus is on practical and sustainable solutions that help employers move toward true inclusion, from compliance to engagement.
CODE Coalition
ECG/Robertson is proud to be a member of the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce’s CODE Coalition.
CODE represents a movement of business leaders, diversity and inclusion practitioners, community advocates and those with lived experience, coming together to achieve three critical goals:
- Expand awareness of the opportunities for and benefits of greater diversity and inclusion in the workplace
- Increase the number of organizations in Winnipeg making a commitment to enhance inclusion and equity in their workplace
- Increase the implementation of measurable actions in the workplace that further these goals
