How long does a micro-course take?

That's up to you. Micro-courses are self-led with no set class times or hours each week. You choose how much you wish to study each week and can finish as quickly as you like. Your access period depends on course length: 10-hour courses come with 3 months of access, and courses over 10 hours come with 6 months. No extensions are provided, so plan your time accordingly.

How much do micro-courses cost?

Micro-courses are priced individually and are an affordable alternative to a full diploma program. Visit the specific course page in the catalogue for current pricing.

Can a micro-course count toward a diploma?

Some micro-courses are eligible for credit transfer into a related Robertson diploma program. Note that 10-hour micro-courses are not eligible for credit transfer. Check the course page or contact the micro-course team to confirm eligibility for a specific course.

Do I get a certificate?

Yes! You earn an electronic certificate of completion that you can add to your resume or LinkedIn profile. Depending on the course, you may also be eligible to request a transcript or confirmation of completion letter.

Is there an instructor, or is it fully self-led?

Micro-courses are self-led, so you work through the material on your own schedule with 24/7 access through Brightspace, Robertson's online learning platform. You're not on your own, though: the micro-course team and your instructor are available for course content questions and support.
