The purpose of this course is to help determine your readiness level to attend college. In this course, you will learn about the different types of post-secondary institutions and the programs they offer while reflecting on your own career goals. You will identify the importance of a growth mindset and analyze the computer and digital literacy skills needed for college success.

In addition, you will explore the importance of being “financially ready” to attend college, and identify human skills essential for achieving success in a college program.

  • Evaluate your own computer and digital literacy skills as it pertains to success at college.

For students who have applied to Robertson but are waiting for financial approval or who have recently enrolled and are waiting for their program to start, this micro-course can be a useful way for you to familiarize yourself with Brightspace, Robertson’s online learning platform. However, you do not need to be a Robertson student to be able to take this course. The course is free and is open to anyone who may find the content useful. 

Once you’ve completed the course, you will earn a Robertson E-Course Certificate to add to your resume and be one step closer to achieving success while in college.

Who is Eligible?

This online course can be taken by anyone. There are no specific requirements for entry. The course and its content may be of special interest to adult learners who are interested in upgrading their education and/or training at the post-secondary level and adult learners who may be interested in attending Robertson, have applied and are awaiting financial approval or have recently enrolled and are waiting for their program to start.
