BECOME A HEALTH CARE AIDE
Robertson’s Health Care Aide program at our Winnipeg campus will prepare you to make a positive impact on people’s lives. Our hands-on approach to teaching provides our students with real-world experience and equips them with the skills necessary to succeed. Our small class environment in Winnipeg allows students a greater opportunity to ask questions, participate in discussion and have instructors who actually know who they are. At Robertson, you’re an important individual, not a nameless spectator.
At the end of your program, you will participate in a six-week work practicum. Once your practicum has been completed, Robertson’s Career Services will work with you to ensure you find employment after you graduate. Whether it’s after grad or twenty-five years down the road, Robertson’s Career Services will be there to help you with your career. With our post-grad Health Care Aide employment rate of 90%, studying for your new career could not come with less risk.

Bernadette Bishop
Featured Instructor – Health Care Aide
A certified Health Care Aide for over 21 years, Bernadette has worked with community health facilities, the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority and Concordia Hospital. In 2008 she obtained her Degree in Nursing from the University of Manitoba, and returned to Concordia Hospital working as a nurse. Bernadette began teaching at Robertson College in 2010.

What is a Health Care Aide?
Health Care Aides, Home Care Attendants, and Personal Support Workers are indispensible to hospitals and care facilities everywhere. They play an integral role in assisting patients with mobility and hygiene, providing palliative care, and working with patients who suffer from mental health issues. Our Health Care Aide program will teach you how to:
