We are seeking Instructors for the Business Law course of our Advanced Diploma in our International division, to guide and prepare students for positions in a variety of areas of business administration in Canada.

Overview

We are seeking to hire independent contractors as Instructors for our Pharmacy Assistant Program to guide and prepare students for entry-level positions in the field. The following instructor positions are available:

  • Pharmacy Assistant Lab Instructor at Calgary Campus
  • Asynchronous delivery of theory components through D2L (Brightspace) and host weekly office hours via virtual classroom.
  • Synchronous delivery of lab components at the Calgary campus
  • Must be Available Monday to Friday 12:30pm to 4:30pm
  • Availability during Evenings and weekends may be requested.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY

The instructor is responsible for delivering course content in a dynamic and engaging manner; designing, implementing and correcting assignments/projects; and actively implementing course curriculum. As an Instructor, you will observe and adhere to all company policies and best practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Share industry-related knowledge, expertise, and passion with the students
  • Respond to student inquiries and provide feedback in a respectful and timely manner
  • Record student attendance and grades
  • Develop and maintain a supportive learning community
  • Provide guidance and support to adult learners
  • Deliver course content via Brightspace/D2L Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Deliver instruction that meets course and program objectives as set out in the curriculum
  • Evaluate student performance fairly, promptly and consistently
  • Collaborate with other teams (Student Support and Services, Workforce Team, Academic Department, etc.) to contribute positively to the student experience
  • Support the administrative functions of the campus to enhance the student experience
  • Act in a manner that upholds the professional expectations and standards of Robertson College
  • Maintain an online presence in the Brightspace LMS by challenging, engaging, and communicating with students to encourage their participation and learning
  • Evaluate and post grades in a timely manner

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Certificate, degree or diploma in pharmacy or a combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent relevant work experience in the Pharmacy field as a Pharmacy Assistant, Pharmacy Technician or more senior position.
  • Must be a Licensed in Alberta when applicable and in good standing.
  • 2+ years of work experience in an institutional or community pharmacy setting.
  • Experience instructing adults and/or delivering (individualized or group) workplace training is an asset.
  • Certificate in Adult Education is an asset.
  • Experience delivering training programs for professional and educational purposes is an asset.

LOCATION AND HOURS OF WORK

This position will be located at the Robertson College Winnipeg campus.

Each course will take approximately 20 hours per week to instruct, though this can vary.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Part-time hours: 20 per week

Salary: $34.00-$37.70 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
