Program Overview

The Robertson College Edmonton Accounting Technician diploma program will help you develop proficiency as an entry-level accounting professional with courses covering accounting and bookkeeping fundamentals, computerized accounting software and key business skills needed to succeed in today’s demanding workplaces.

  • Learn the fundamentals of accounting and bookkeeping and understand how to apply manual bookkeeping using journals
  • Understand financial accounting principles and practices
  • Gain basic computer skills and learn to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint & Access)
  • Learn to use computerized accounting software including Quickbooks and Simply Accounting

Rhonda Gaetz

Rhonda Gaetz is an experienced educator with over 14 years of experience in Adult Continuing Education. Prior to joining Robertson College in 2014, Rhonda owned and operated a small construction business with 20+ employees where she performed full payroll and accounting cycles including month-end and year-end procedures, bank reconciliations and generated financial reports. In the classroom, Rhonda is an enthusiastic and dedicated instructor who is passionate about sharing her business acumen and business management background with her students and guiding them through their educational journey. Her lectures integrate the principles taught with real-world business scenarios, allowing her students to gain practical industry knowledge.
