FAQ

Everything you need to know about online learning.

How do I take my online classes?

All Robertson Online courses are hosted on Brightspace, our online-learning hub. You can study anytime, anywhere and access your course materials 24/7. Brightspace allows you to submit assignments and connect with your instructors and peers through instant messenger.

Are there set class times?

Nope. That’s the beauty of Robertson Online – you get to study when it works best for you. You’ll need to stay up to date with your course schedule and keep track of your deadlines but you can access your course materials 24/7 on Brightspace. You have the flexibility to study when it fits into your schedule.

When is my practicum?

You can expect to go on practicum immediately after you complete your courses. Check your Program Schedule (provided by your assigned Student Advisor) for your last day of classes.

Practicum services will contact you 6-8 weeks prior to your start date with a survey and more details. They’ll be able to help you with all your questions before you start.

Is the practicum a graduation requirement?

You bet it is. Your full-time practicum will vary in length based on your program but it’s required for you to get your diploma.

What are the enrollment requirements?

Most programs do not require a high school diploma or GED. You’ll be assigned a Student Admissions Advisor (SAA) who will work with you to ensure you have what you need to meet your program’s criteria. Each program will have a specific set of admission requirements, which your SAA will review with you as well. Not all programs are open to International Students so it’s best to check with an SAA.

What are the computer/system requirements?

You’ll access all your course materials and assignments through Brightspace, our online learning hub. Mac computers will fit the program system requirements for all programs except for Accounting. Mac computers won’t support the accounting software you need so we recommend using an alternate machine with a Windows operating system.

What happens if I don’t pass a course?

A passing grade for our courses is 70% or higher. If you don’t pass a course, we will do our best to offer a retake if it’s available within your program schedule and does not conflict with your practicum.

Do Online students get a graduation ceremony?

Absolutely! We are proud of each and every one of our graduates and want to celebrate all of your accomplishments.

Based on your location and date of program completion, you will receive an invitation for that local Robertson Online ceremony.
